I bought this item last year of July and honestly, I don’t use it often so up to now, my tube is still not that used up yet. I use this occasionally because sometimes, I’m just too lazy to do my skincare routine and sometimes, I need my skin to rest from all the products I put on my face. I know it’s a wrong kind of doing but I’m determining which of the products I use causes my break-outs. And this face cleanser is one of the suspects. I guess.

Did you know that the first 5-6 ingredients listed in the ingredients list are the components that make up 80% of the product?
Good ingredient: Commonly used in cosmetics and first seen in the list due to its high formula concentration but only 10% of that concentration is needed in our skin since it can damage the skin’s layers, protection and essential substances.
Best ingredient: This is a skin-replenishing and restoring humectant that helps in balancing hydration and the skin’s moisture level. Glycerin is known as the master of hydration and works best with emollients such as the copolymer but the answer why it’s just 5th on the list is because too much concentration could not moisturize skin. 5% or less concentration is needed for it to be the cornerstone of being a good moisturizer, of course combined to other oils and emollients.
3. Stearic Acid
Good ingredient: A fatty acid that protects the skin’s surface against water loss and keeping up the skin’s protective barrier. It replenishes the skin and is commonly used as emollients and emulsifiers. This acid can be synthetic ally man-made or derived from animals.
4. Myristic Acid
Good ingredient: A cleansing agent that creates foam and could be drying since this is kind of related from the components of a common soap. I have a strong feeling that this is the ingredient that gives you the matte finish after using the cleansing foam.
Good ingredient: This is a type of ingredient that functions as an emulsifier or thickening agent that keeps oil and water from separating.
🔑 Jeju Volcanic Ash Extract: has powerful purifying properties that draw out dirt and sebum from the pores
🔑 Fermented Satsuma Extract: has anti-aging properties and helps remove dead skin cells
🔑 Orchid Flower Extract: conditions and protects for healthy, soft skin

Comes in a pretty big plastic tube. The nozzle has a tin foil sticker seal on it so it’s ensured that the product is not contaminated. It doesn’t come in any kind of box, just a straightforward packaging.
Almost like a moisturizer or cream but it feels thicker and silkier. It also has micro beads which is the volcanic scoria as what they call it.
Silky white. It’s closer to the color of common creams but with streaks of silver-like lines. (I don’t know I suck at describing things)
Has a mild flowery scent but the first time I used this, it smelled to me as something like a new paper which is okay with me because I love the scent of new/old books.
Dampen your face with warm water. Lather up pea-size amount in your hands and massage onto the face in circular motions. Rinse off with water after and pat dry.
🌿 PH LEVEL
I am happy that this product came out neutral on my PH test, it ranges between 8 and 9 but upon looking closer, the color matches no. 7 the best. According to my research since i’m not really an expert or some scientist about this, that face wash must be at least in the range of 5 or at the acidic level so i don’t know if this is a good face wash since it came out 7.
1. Very effective upon first use
2. Really cleanses pores

8. Doesn’t have the “tight” feeling
9. Very affordable for a large tube
10. Does control sebum
11. Neutral PH level
1. Doesn’t really remove white and black heads
2. Should be used continuously to see better effects
3. I was kind of breaking out when I used this product
4. It has a scent which other may not like
5. Claims were not that accurate
6. It feels drying
I love that this face cleanser really cleanses pores and I saw how effective it was. This product focused on deep penetration of the pores while moisturizing the skin and is I’ve said in my recent post that I have very problematic pores especially around my t-zone area. Also, I noticed that this cleanser gives you a squeaky clean, matte and velvety feels after washing my face which feels really good and satisfying. I also love the fact that this product came in a big tube, lasts a long time and has a straightforward yet hygienic packaging but in a very affordable price. Knowing that Innisfree is already famous by its name, it’s then considered the quality of product you’re paying for and yes, I assure you, this won’t break the bank. With the affordability of this product, I was happy it came out with a PH level of 7 which means neutral.
I just hate that this product doesn’t really remove black heads and white heads and I don’t know if it’s just me that this product worsen it. I also have lots of tiny bumps on my face and clogged pores as well and I’m not sure if this cleanser was the reason why it got plenty and broke me out the first time I religiously did my 6-step skincare regimen for 3 days. I admit that I just do my skincare routine if I feel so or not feeling lazy but I noticed that if not used continuously, lasting results would not be evident. I’m also aware that the cleanser is not to be blamed since I knew that I’m doing the wrong method of cleansing, I don’t do it simultaneously and I skip toning or moisturizing thus causing me breakouts or giving me the dry feeling.
Overall, this product is still better than any face wash I’ve tried so far. It really does cleanse the pores and some claims were true. Effects could also be seen just after 1 face wash session. Though this product is yet the best as of now, I don’t think I would repurchase since I’m really thriving on trying out better face cleansers. I recommend this to people with a busy day like me who commutes every day and is prone to breakouts because of the accumulated dusts and debris which is then absorbed into the pores.
This photos were taken 2 days after I wore heavy make-up for an event. I was currently having allergic reactions to the make-up so pardon for the super gross contents.
