Top 5 Things I Can’t Live Without

It’s the second blog of my attempt to blog at least twice a month. Did I not mention it yet? The experiment I’m talking about is writing a blog at least weekly or bi weekly. I considered this challenge I saw on pinterest and got really interested. You know me as someone who is very inconsistent on my blog and I’ve never experienced posting regularly, daily, weekly and straight monthly so why not give this a shot.

I just struggle a lot on what should i write, when will i write and how will i write. These things tend to overwhelm me and end up not writing anything at all as I worry the most on balancing the amount of words I spill. I tend to get very talkative, impersonal, and unprofessional on my writings if I let my emotions take over. I really had to control the amount of words and emotions I put which makes it harder for me to show what I’m capable of.

Now I decided and finally figured out on how to get a little personal on my topics without over sharing things. For today’s post, I will be attempting to share with you the 5 most important things in my life that if removed, consider my day or life ruined.

1. Deodorant

I don’t know when and where I got this body odor but I started to learn about it when I was in late grade school, somewhere during puberty. I’m very conscious on my body and I hate people pointing out my flaws which happened to me as I was on puberty and my body is changing. I learned to stay and smell fresh and odorless as much as possible. So if I know I’m going somewhere or staying out, I make sure to pack some deo because I just don’t want to stink and ruin the trip.

2. Baby Powder

This is the second thing I put in my body right after the deo. It just became a habit. I remember hating to put on baby powder on my body before because it gives off a “sour” smell when you sweat but when I was in puberty and started wearing bras, I just have this sensitive skin and I hate it when my skin touches the rough inseams especially I’m living in a tropical country and it gets very hot. So I just put powder underneath so that it would slide or not get sticky at all until I decided to spread it further unto my back and just became a habit. haha.

3. Eyeglasses

This should be like the number one on the list because clearly, I’m blind and I can’t see a thing when I take my glasses off but I think not all people has defective eyes like me, right? I started wearing glasses since grade school, somewhere at grade 4, and I will forever be wearing it which I am now regretting. I can’t do daily routines without it, I need to buy contacts to wear at formal events and what bothers me the most is that I can barely do outdoor activities since I can’t wear glasses while hiking, swimming or bungee jumping. Sad to say but this was the life I chose. I intentionally read at the dark before, thinking wearing glasses would make you look cool and superior. Lol at me now.

4. Tissue

Never will I ever thought the importance of tissue until I started to get employed. At college, I seldom bring tissue with me. And now I realize it’s main purpose: To wipe and dry something wet. Gross as it is, I have not noticed that I badly needed to wipe down there every time I take a pee. Like every time! Because I never had issues of very wet surface after urinating back at college or maybe I just seldom urinate that’s why. But now that I’m tracking my water intake, I usually need to pee every now and then and it just pours like rain so I can’t just put my undies up without wiping because that’s just the weirdest and grossiest feeling ever.

5. Eucalyptus Oil

In our country, we have this 3 legendary eucalyptus massage & relaxing oil but I grew up with the efficascent oil which is a combination of eucalyptus and peppermint to relieve any pain. I love the smell of it and how it gets really relaxing, minty, and cold the more you put onto your skin. I have also not realized how important it is to bring this oil until I was a full-time employee. At college, when I have a very bad and painful period, I usually just call in sick and skip classes but being employed will give you no reason. No matter what you feel mentally, emotionally, and physically, you will always be forced to work and I learned this lesson the hard way for many times have I experienced dysmenorrhea pains while at work and the only thing that saved me from embarrassing moments and episodes of fainting is this oil. So glad, they released a pocket and portable version because I always bring it with me even if I’m feeling well or not.

    1. I don’t even know if I’m just lazy and using such excuses so here’s another post as an experiment to build a habit. 😂 Thank you so much for reading and yes, I MUST post another blog soon. 🤣
